DISPLAY PLANNING / KEDA LED

LED poster or LCD signage: what should you compare?

LED posters and LCD signage are separate display technologies. Compare the format and installation requirements of your project before comparing the model specifications.

Separate the two technologies

The HB-X posters are direct-view LED displays with an SMD 3-in-1 surface and a GOB protective process. Their model names identify different LED pixel pitches.

The LCD collection uses TFT-LCD panels. The supplied documents list 3840 × 2160 panel resolution and Android 11 systems. LCD screen size in inches is a different measurement from LED pixel pitch in millimetres.

Compare the physical format and placement

The HB-X LED series shares a 640 × 1920 mm active area, a listed overall width × height of 646 × 2050 mm and a mobile wheeled base.

Floor-standing LCD is available in 75, 85 and 98-inch sizes with portrait installation. Wall-mounted LCD spans 43, 50, 55, 65, 75, 85 and 98 inches and supports landscape or portrait placement according to the supplied series documents.

  • Available floor or wall space
  • Portrait or landscape content
  • Need to move the display between locations
  • Mounting, access and service clearances

Review content and the environment

Compare the selected models with the content your audience will actually see. Resolution, text size, viewing distance and ambient light all belong in that review.

The source documents do not establish outdoor suitability for the whole collection. GOB describes the LED protective process; it is not a verified weatherproof rating. For sheltered or outdoor placement, request a configuration-specific assessment.

Some supplied LCD brightness, contrast and cabinet details conflict between documents. Confirm the final values for your selected size rather than comparing an unverified brightness figure.

Confirm the content workflow

The LED brochure describes app, USB, Wi-Fi and Ethernet publishing, with synchronous and asynchronous playback. HDMI and wireless 4G are optional configurations.

The LCD series documents list Android 11, an RK3568 processor and 2 GB / 32 GB memory and storage. Confirm the required player software, inputs, remote management and supported media with the final model configuration; an operating-system specification alone does not confirm every software feature.

Compare the complete project

Ask for a quotation that identifies the display, controller or player, mounting or base, packing, freight terms, spare parts and warranty. A cabinet-only comparison can leave important installation items undecided.

Share the application, placement, quantity, destination and content requirements if you want help narrowing the technology and size.
